Alḥamdulillāh, we have the privelege of hosting Shaykh Dr. Khalid Khan for a Seminar on Funerals. Come along and learn about the rituals necessary for the end of life of a Muslim.
Death is an inevitable outcome for every person as Allāh Almighty informed us in his book:
{Everyone shall taste death. And only on the Day of Resurrection shall you be paid your wages in full. And whoever is removed away from the Fire and admitted to Paradise, he indeed is successful. The life of this world is only the enjoyment of deception.} [Āli-‘Imrān, 185]
Also in the narration of Ibn ‘Umar that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, was asked: “O Messenger of Allāh, which of the Believers are the smartest?” He replied: “Those who remember death the most and are best in preparing for it, those are the smartest.” [Ibn Mājah, 4259]
Shaykh Dr. Khalid Khan is the Imām and Khaṭīb Lambeth Islamic Cultural Centre (Brixton, London).
