Not being shy in asking the people of knowledge is of great benefit as Allāh Almighty commanded in his book:
{…So ask the people of knowledge if you do not know.} [Al-Anbiyā, 7]
Also in the narration of ‘Āishah that she said: “How good are the women of the Anṣār that their shyness does not prevent them from learning religion.” [Muslim, 332c]
And in the narration of Umm Salamah who said that Umm Sulaym came to the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allāh Almighty be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allāh, Allāh is not too shy to tell the truth…” [Al-Bukhārī, 3328, Muslim, 313]
