Alḥamdulillāh, we have been making good progress on carrying out the works at LMC and we hope to open up to the public very soon in-shā-Allāh.
We’ve had the following works completed so far:
- Full rewiring of the building due to extremely old electrics and damage from rodents
- Pest control to eradicate rodents
- Installation of new insulated plasterboard to help with temperature control throughout the building
- Removal of old boarded up window and door on ground floor and replaced with new brick wall
Still to do this week in-shā-Allāh:
- Finish fixing insulated plasterboard to remaining bare-brick walls
- Installation of Double-glazed windows to top floor
- Installation of additional radiators to top floor and ground floor halls
- Re-instate carpets and general clean-up
We are hopeful that the bulk of the work will be completed before Friday and that we will be holding Ṣalātu-l Jumu’ah this week but we will send further updates as we get further in in-shā-Allāh.
