Alḥamdulillāh, we have the privelege of hosting Shaykh Dr. Khalid Khan for a seminar on understanding Summer prayer times and persistent twilight.

Every year, a phenomenon occurs in the UK where the visual signs of night and day are disrupted either for a certain duration or for whole days and weeks. The UK’s HM Nautical Almanac Office suggests that the Midlands, of which Loughborough is a part, experiences this between the 18th May and the 25th July.

As such, it can become confusing to know when the time for the ‘Ishā-a and Fajr prayers should be completed. This session aims to explain and clarify this matter and present the attendee with clear guidance on fulfilling the prayer during these days of the year.

Shaykh Dr. Khalid Khan is an Imām and Khaṭīb Lambeth Islamic Cultural Centre (Brixton, London).

Date: Saturday 11th May 2024
Time: 7PM

This session is open to all, please do bring your families and we look forward to seeing you!
